STALLIONS KICK OFF TIGER TURF IN STYLE

The Marconi Stallions got their 2008 Tiger
Turf Cup campaign off to a flying start with a comprehensive 7-0 win
against Mounties S.C. at Marconi Stadium last Tuesday night.
Two goals within the
first 15 minutes effectively killed the game off as a contest, and any
chance of a miraculous comeback was put beyond Mounties’ reach when
they were reduced to ten men before half time after they had a player
sent from the field for a professional foul.
For the Stallions,
Tolgay Ozbey scored a hat trick, Stefan Donevski chipped in with a
brace, while Nahuel Arrarte and an own goal by the visitors rounded
out the scoring.
The Marconi Stallions
are now unbeaten in four consecutive matches and will look to build
upon this success when they take on Bankstown City F.C. at Jensen Park
on Mothers’ Day, Sunday 11 May.
There are always
great expectations from these two Clubs and this Sunday’s encounter
will be crucial to both.
This week-end’s
matches also hold special significance, with every female in
attendance at all TeleChoice Premier League games, a total of $3 will
be donated by TeleChoice, Football N.S.W. and the Clubs of the
TeleChoice Premier League to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
